ABOUT THE ARTIST

Emily Siddell's series of oversized glass necklaces, leis and garlands reflect the influence of Polynesian culture which plays such an important role in the Auckland community, and which Siddell feels has been important in generating her identity as a Pacific artist. Siddell has exhibited throughout New Zealand and her work is held in many public and private collections including Te Papa Tongarewa, Wellington; Dowse Art Museum, Lower Hutt and the Auckland War Memorial.
