Montpellier Cartooning Conference
Hei Toi Whakairo – Hei Toi Tangata
(Where there is artistic excellence –
there is human dignity)
22 -23 May 2025
Auditorium du site St Charles 2
Université de Montepellier Paul Valerié
Tim Danko is travelling to France to present a talk about the cartooning groups at Māpura Studios, and will be speaking about autistic comic-making, not as a pathology/diagnosis but as a process and method of comic making that joyously embraces a transitory approach to physical and material boundaries, othered forms of system engagement, and performative world building; and how the comic medium is inherently suited to this expression.
Tim will be speaking at the Auditorium du site St Charles 2, Université de Montepellier Paul Valerié, on Friday May 23rd at 11.25am.

Tim will also be seeing his French publisher, Adverse –https://www.adverse.fr/
If you’d like to support this adventure by donating $50, you would receive your choice of one of Tim’s previous “Sup-Ho” comics, the latest “Sup-Ho” (№8 ‘Auto Receipt’ origin issue part 1, thermally printed on long rolls of fax paper and individually hand stamped), and an original drawing made while travelling in France, delivered upon his return.
Please email Tim on tjdanko@gmail.com
Or get in touch via his Facebook https://www.facebook.com/zombo.vertov? and say you’d love the Sup-Ho package.
Any support is gratefully appreciated!
