MOA – Visual Art Online
Tutor Margaret Feeney’s Visual Art Online will explore narrative by looking at expressive mark-making and different compositional structures.
You’ll test materials and processes and look at the formal elements of art (the separate bits that make up an artwork) and learn them so you can make your own artwork.
Find out how a drawing, painting or sculpture is made; how do you get and develop ideas; and how do different colours and shapes make you think and feel different things.
MOA is online so it doesn’t matter where you live, you can be a Māpura Online Artist. All levels of ability are welcome, you don’t need to know anything about art to join in.
All classes are FREE – all you pay for are the art materials.

Aout MOA – Māpura Online Artists
Māpura Studios has an online programme for disabled artists – MOA.
It doesn’t matter where you live in Aotearoa New Zealand, you could be a Māpura Online Artist. The MOA programmes are hosted by professional Māpura tutors on Zoom, delivering creative classes to diverse communities and individuals, and supporting them in developing their art practice.
When you enrol in a MOA programme, you’ll be creating art and discussing ideas with a group of like-minded people, in a safe and fun environment.
All the MOA classes are free, all you pay for are the art materials.
Who can enrol
MOA has been designed for artists who are among New Zealand’s most vulnerable, to connect with each other and form an online community of disabled artists.
It is ideal for anyone who can’t access our Morningside studio or satellite classes. Participants from all around the country can enrol in our MOA programmes
